JOB DETAILS:

Location: Toronto, Ontario (currently remote during pandemic)

YOUR IMPACT:

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Learn new and emerging cybersecurity technologies focused Digital Identity & Access Management.
• Pursue certifications for leading IAM technologies.
• Gather requirements, design, and implement various IAM technologies for clients.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Participate in all Technology deployment activities, connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development, and third-party system integration.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing and bug related engineering efforts and occasionally lead the efforts.
• Successfully provide knowledge transfer and postproduction support activities, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor or master's degree in one of the following disciplines: Business Administration (Technology Focus), Management Information System, Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Outstanding academic record
• High proficiency and passion in Java, Bean Shell/JavaScript, JSP/Servlets, SQL, with desire to move into team lead role in a few years
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful
• Familiarity with Java GUI frameworks
• Knack for writing clean, readable Java code
• Experience working with relational databases
• Basic understanding of the class loading mechanism in Java
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to go above and beyond to deliver excellence in client service.
• Quick learner with a demonstrated ability to be a self-starter.
